I'm feeling pretty good most of the time. My hands and feet have been really sore and slightly swollen. Mostly my fingers have a hard time functioning. In the middle of the night they get so stiff and sore that I can barely bend them. It usually takes a couple hours in the morning for me to be able to make a full fist. You would think that I have these swollen, pudgy hands but it's more like arthritis... it's really weird. AND, playing guitar is certainly not helping (and I'm sure karate might play a small role). I'm determined to keep leading worship and keep teaching karate until the last week or so, much to Bryan's dismay. He's constantly encouraging me to "STOP!" "Slow down!" But, surprise... I don't know how to do that! So, instead he's been watching me crash every evening around 5 o'clock. I'll be totally "normal" and then, in a matter of seconds, turn into a zombie. It scared him the first couple times it happened (like on our date night). BUT, now he's just learning to expect it (even when I don't).
We had our tour of the hospital the other day... just part of the routine so we know where to go and what to expect when I go into labor. We're a little behind, so I was the "most pregnant" girl there... I was the one sitting down every-time we passed a chair. I think everybody was looking at me laughing. Anyways, the tour was yet another moment of realization... "OH CRAP, we're having a baby!" So, we keep saying 80% excited at 20% freaked out... and the numbers keep changing cause freaking out is taking on a larger %'age everyday. Anyways...
